YB-PRE Series Pre-Assembled Box-Type Substation
Product Introduction
The YB-type box-type substation, also known as a European-style box-type substation, is manufactured in accordance with GB 17467-1998, “High-Voltage/Low-Voltage Prefabricated Substations,” IEC 1330 and other applicable standards.
As a modern power supply and distribution solution, it provides several advantages compared with traditional civil substations. Its compact size, small installation footprint, integrated structure and convenient relocation help shorten the infrastructure construction period and reduce civil engineering costs.
The box-type substation is simple to install on site, enables rapid power supply and requires only limited maintenance. It can operate without permanent on-site personnel.
The equipment can be installed close to the load center, helping improve power supply quality, reduce power losses and increase the reliability of the distribution system.
The substation performs power transformation, distribution, transmission, metering, compensation, system control, protection and communication functions.
The YB-type substation consists of four main sections: high-voltage switchgear, low-voltage distribution panels, a distribution transformer and an external enclosure.
The high-voltage section uses an air load-break switch. The transformer can be either a dry-type transformer or an oil-immersed transformer.
The enclosure adopts an effective thermal insulation and ventilation structure. It has an attractive appearance and good heat-insulation performance.
Upper and lower ventilation ducts are installed inside the enclosure to reduce the temperature rise caused by outdoor heat in the transformer compartment and the high- and low-voltage compartments.
The enclosure can also be equipped with a temperature-controlled forced ventilation device and an automatic temperature control system.
Each independent unit is provided with control, protection, live indication and lighting systems.
Application Scope
The YB-PRE series is suitable for small unattended substations with voltage levels of 35 kV and below and main transformer capacities of 5,000 kVA and below.
It is widely used in 10 kV ring-network systems for urban industrial substations, 35 kV substations for rural power networks and other similar applications.
Main Functions
The substation performs power transformation, distribution, transmission, metering, compensation, system control, protection and communication.
Main Features
The primary and secondary equipment is pre-installed inside a movable and fully enclosed enclosure with automatic temperature control, corrosion resistance, moisture protection and rust protection.
After delivery to the site, the complete unit only needs to be installed on a prepared concrete foundation.
The product features low investment costs, a short construction period, a small footprint and easy integration with the surrounding environment.
