With the continued development of the economy, an increasing number of nonlinear loads are being connected to power grids. This has caused various power quality problems, including voltage fluctuations, low grid-side power factor, three-phase voltage imbalance and high harmonic content.
To improve power quality, static var generators, also known as SVG systems, have been widely introduced in both domestic and international markets.
The SVG special connection transformer is an important component of the SVG system. It adopts a high-impedance design, which improves the transformer’s ability to withstand short-circuit currents.
The transformer is also manufactured using a new processing method, giving it specific harmonic performance. The total harmonic distortion of the secondary winding current does not exceed 10%.
